I've been pretty quiet on here recently because I really haven't been doing anything particularly note worthy. I walk to and from work five days a week. It's a round trip of 11km so I'm getting good milage out of my hiking boots, but this is certainly not a patch on Mont Blanc. I would walk over the downs, if only it didn't take twice as long. At least I get plenty of time to listen to Radio 1 and listen to some good music.
Last night was a party for a friend of a friend. Bex turned 20 and to celebrate we all dressed up as movie characters. My older sister gave me the idea of going as Steve Irwin, Marko

Our costumes |
went as
Maverick, Emma as a nun from The Sound Of Music, James was
Austin Powers and Sarah as
Felicity Shagwell. There wer lots of other great costumes there too, Ghandi, Cleopatra, Harry Potter,
Lara Croft and a girl from
Coyote Ugly. It was a pretty good night, though the changing drinking prices weren't exactly going in our favour. Today the five of us went out for breakfast in Hove. Sitting in the sun beside the beach on the morning after a big party is just great. Not long later while shopping in Brighton it started snowing quite hard (but it was melting straight away). By the time we got back into the car and out onto the road it had stopped and the sun was breaking out. So basically Auckland doesn't have a monopoly on
fickle weather.
