On Friday night I went out to diner with Marko & Emma and James & Sarah. It was good to sit with familiar people and talk about stuff that wasn't travel related. It being Marko's birthday dinner I avoided tales from the road as much as possible. We played pool for a while (and I won my two games which is pretty surprising really) and then sat down in an instant-photo-booth and had it printed out in pencil mode. On Saturday we moved things into the freshly painted office and it looks complete now. Jed and I tried 4 different places to find what I thought was a fairly regular cable, and now the dsl modem can be next to the computer rather than in the middle of the floor, which is good.

Interesting thoughts on the tea, I still don't like it though and I don't plan on drinking it. I have had a lot of beer in Germany though, I like that :)
Posted by: Bronwyn at October 6, 2003 02:31 PMHmmm, I don't like tea either. Now if they offered beer as a sign of hospitality...

Posted by: Bronwyn at October 7, 2003 02:03 PMHow can you _not_ like tea??? It's the stuff civilization is built on!! Now, coffee on the other hand... that stuff is just plain nasty! (Anyone see a discrepencey here? The Queen's own don't like tea, and the American is touting it's place in a civilized world... Well, if it wasn't apparent before, now that Arnie won the election it should be totally obvious that this world is a very very strange place). Anywho... I feel much like you Craig, with regards to a) Liking everything, and b) accepting people's hospitality in the spirit which it was given. Cheers all. -Levi
